Privacy Policy

Last updated: 08/11/2025

1. Overview

Lost Paths is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, sell, or share personal information. The game now requires an internet connection at least once to download essential game content.

2. Information We (Do Not) Collect

No accounts, no profiles, no analytics SDKs in the game client. We do not ask for your name, email, or other personal identifiers.
There are no ads or in-app purchases.

3. Network Connectivity & Content Delivery

To function, the game downloads content packs (e.g., levels/assets) from our servers/CDN at least once. During these downloads, standard technical information is automatically processed by the servers (e.g., IP address, approximate region inferred from IP, device/OS, user agent, timestamps, error codes). This data is used solely to deliver content, ensure reliability, prevent abuse, and diagnose issues. Such data may appear in temporary server logs that rotate/expire routinely and is not used to identify you or build a profile.

4. Device Permissions

The game does not request access to the camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, storage, or other special device permissions.

5. Data Security

Transfers between the game and our servers/CDN use encrypted connections (HTTPS). We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard the service and its logs.

6. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

To deliver downloadable content, we may use hosting providers and/or a Content Delivery Network (CDN). These providers act as our processors for the limited technical data described in Section 3 and do not use it for their own purposes.

8. Legal Basis & Your Rights (GDPR/EEA & UK)

Legal basis: We process the minimal technical data necessary to deliver content and operate the service under legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), namely service functionality, security, and fraud prevention.
Your rights: Where applicable, you may have rights to access, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Since we don’t run user accounts and keep only transient logs, exercising these rights typically involves deletion of any residual technical logs associated with your IP and timestamps.

9. California Disclosures (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We process only minimal technical data for service delivery and security.

10. Website Analytics (fatcatgames.net)

This policy covers the game. When you visit our website (fatcatgames.net), the site may use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) that place cookies and process usage data according to the website’s own privacy practices. This website processing is separate from the game and does not add analytics to the game client.

11. Platform Policies

If you obtained the game via an app store (e.g., Google Play, App Store), that platform may process data under its own privacy policy. Please refer to the store’s documentation.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the game or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
