Development update · August 2026
We are working on new games—and we are also returning to the games that once formed part of our Google Play catalogue. We do not want to simply bring them back unchanged. This is a chance to rethink them, rebuild them and give them the long-term attention they deserve.
Numberlord goes first
Numberlord will be the first of those reboots. Our aim is to expand it with more levels, a stronger sense of story and regular updates that keep giving players a reason to return.
There is plenty to design and build before we can talk about release dates, but the direction is clear: preserve what made the original fun, then make the experience richer, easier to maintain and ready to grow.
Why Flutter and Flame?
We want to rely less on Unity and take more ownership of the technology behind our games. Python gave us a useful way to experiment, but in practice it did not feel as simple for this workflow as we had hoped.
Our reboots will therefore be built with Flutter and Flame. Flutter gives us a solid cross-platform base, while Flame provides the focused 2D tools we need without turning a small project into a heavyweight production.
What comes next
Alongside Numberlord, we are developing new ideas and giving Lost Paths a proper home on this website. We will share progress as the projects take shape: design decisions, screenshots, playable ideas and, when the time is right, release plans.
This reboot is about returning to what Fat Cat Games does best: small games, personal ideas and the freedom to keep improving them.
